teddy breakfast


School Club will be hosting a Teddy Bear Breakfast to help raise money for new playground equipment for our school. Show your support by placing an order on Flexischools for a delicious breakfast pack which contains a piece of fruit and 3 mini pastries. Bring your Teddy, your coffee and a rug and join in the fun. Year 6 will be selling Hot Cross Buns at lunchtime on Thursday 29th March to raise funds for their Year 6 gift and farewell. Please bring in $1 to purchase a yummy hot cross bun at lunchtime. Year 6 are also selling raffle tickets for Easter Hampers. Raffle tickets are 50c each. They are on sale all week in the morning before school and at lunchtimes. back to school


It's back to school on Tuesday, the 30th of January for all students in Years 1 to 6! We are looking forward to seeing smiling and happy faces entering the school gates. Students are asked line up under the COLA for a welcome back assembly at 9:25am. Bags can be left at last year's classroom. Kindergarten have Best Start testing for the first 3 days and will all start on Friday 2nd February at staggered times. Letters were sent out to all the Kindergarten families at the end of last year. 2018 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2017, all NSW public schools will receive a 2018 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. School Photos for PSSA sporting teams, band, choir, debating, dance and many more groups will be held on Thursday 26 October. It is very important to go through the schedule with your child if they are involved in more than one photo. The children will need the correct clothing for each photo and be responsible for changing into the right uniform at the right time.... Read more

NDIS continues its roll out across NSW

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) started in NSW in July 2016, rolling out across half of the state. The rollout for the rest of NSW started on 1 July 2017 and the NDIS will be fully rolled out by mid 2018. The NSW government is writing to the families of children and young people with disability who currently receive disability supports in the rollout areas to advise how and when they will enter the NDIS. Preparation for the new demountable administration block, classroom and movement of our canteen has started. Please be patient as this new building is put in. There will be great disruption to Oatley Park Ave on Monday 4th Sept. The crane and semi trailers will be arriving early with the 13 modules that will make up our long demountable building. A weekend of fun, rides, food and entertainment will be held this Saturday, 26 August and Sunday, 27 August from 10am – 4pm each day. This will be the 37th year for this major fundraising event for the Oatley West Public School and we hope you can make it! Opening night will be held on Friday, 25th August and tickets are still available to this great night out. The Oatley West canteen is being moved and will be closed for the rest of Week 4 and Monday, 14th August 2017. It will re-open on Tuesday 15th and will be located temporarily in the school hall. The menu will be scaled back to a basic menu and will be sent home on Friday 11th. The menu will return to normal when the canteen re-opens in its new location.
